If your name is Andrew Lloyd Webber (niche, we know), it's time to face the music - Nicole Sherzinger has spoken out in response to claims she ditched Cats: The Musical at the last minute to scoop up an X Factor UK judging role. MEOW.
Crack out your nail file and prepare for things to get catty: after Andrew claimed Nicole made him look like a 'twot' (lolz) and ditched his musical at the last minute, she's spoken out to deny the claims and insist her contract was 'never finalised'.
Seemingly confirming she'd reprised her 2012 role on the X Factor UK judging panel, Andrew told The Economist: "A week before we were due to go into rehearsals with Cats, which luckily I'm not producing I have to say, she calls me and says she's decided to do X Factor, having agreed to it.
"She's crazy, but the American producers took a view of, 'Oh fine, we'll get someone else'. She's actually not that well known in America. She's better known here."
And now Nicole's opened up to Radio Times, denying she did anything wrong and sharing how much she respects ALW.
She commented: "I had every intention of doing Cats on Broadway but the contract was never finalised. I am incredibly blessed to be given so many amazing opportunities, including Cats, but unfortunately we weren't able to make it work this time around.
"I adore and respect Andrew, I'm so grateful for our friendship and can't wait for the opportunity to create more magic together."
So there you have it. Sherzi's making a return, Lloyd Webber ain't happy about it and Simon Cowell's probably cartwheeling around the room with joy rn.
