Seeing as Netflix and chill has become a giant part of our daily routine and basically takes up every evening we have, it was only a matter of time before we took things to a whole new level - with the coolest alternative cinema experiences in the world.
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, Disney's Hollywood Studios
Seriously, what could be better than dinner and a movie in a retro-style car a la a drive in cinema like the 50s? NOTHING. Plus this one's in Disneyland so the movie choice will be tip top and the food looks SO good. More info here.
Olympia Music Hall, Paris
The Olympia Music Hall in Paris takes Netflix and chill to a whole new level, bringing the beds into the cinema and whole heartedly encouraging lazing around at your heart's desire. Warning: will probably make you feel single af though. More info here.
Chalet cinema, London
Set in Bodo's Schloss, take a minute in the mountains for a cinema trip like no other: alpine style. It's an Austrian ski themed restaurant, has the option for unlimited popcorn AND shows Patrick Swayze films every Wednesday. The dream? More info here.
Paragon cineplex, Bangkok
The Paragon cineplex in Bangkok is all about the relaxed vibe, offering reclining sofas, beds and chairs with cup holes and snack holders. SO GOOD. More info here.
Floating movie theatre, Thailand
Designed in 2013 by German architect Ole Scheeran, this truly is a cinema like no other. The seats, screen and speakers float in the middle of the ocean, and viewers must take a boat to get there. Incredible if a little scary? YEP. More info here.
Hot tub cinema, UK, USA and Ibiza
The hot tub cinema hits up all sorts of locations over the summer, and sees shed loads of hot tubs placed in front of a big screen for a night of chilling and watching all at once. GREAT for sunshine, probably not ideal if you're on a roof terrace in Birmingham during a drizzle. More info here.
Pillow cinema, London
London's pillow cinema has taken over a Grade II listed house/deserted tube station and other super cool locations to bring you a cinema made up of giant bean bags, cushions and blankets. We'll see you there. More info here.
Film night in the park, San Francisco
One night a year, film night in the park takes over in San Francisco and sees people flock to a hill where they sit and watch a movie screening with their own rugs and snacks. More info here.
So can we go to them all or what?
