Gary Beadle has opened up about the heartbreaking news that he and Charlotte Crosby suffered a ectopic pregnancy, which eventually lead to the breakdown of their relationship.
During an incredibly emotional interview yesterday, Charlotte opened up about the devastating news that she and Gaz were expecting a baby together, but that she had an ectopic pregnancy which meant the fetus was growing outside the womb.
She was quickly rushed to hospital where she was X-rayed and doctor's discovered she had burst her fallopian tube, was bleeding internally and had to have an operation to save her life.
At this point, Gary was in Thailand filming Ex on the Beach - and we all know what happened there...
In the interview, Charlotte went on to discuss the pain she felt when she discovered Gary had been unfaithful with another woman - describing it as pain 'like no other' - and that it was the wake up call for her that meant they could never be together.
And now? He's broken his silence on the pregnancy news in his column with the Daily Star, explaining his side of the story.
He wrote: "The first night [on EOTB], I got smashed and ended up in bed with someone. The next day, I was around the pool and got told I needed to take an emergency phone call. It was MTV saying that Charlotte had been rushed to hospital.
"Straight away, I was like, 'I need to go home immediately.' I spoke to Charlotte and she said she was surviving with her mam and friends nearby, that I was under contract to continue filming, and she told me stay out there.
"We spoke every day until day six, when someone had told her about the first night, which I did not want to come out while I was over there. I wanted to tell her myself. Let's face it, I couldn't have kept it a secret. It was on camera.
On day seven, we had a massive argument on the phone. Charlotte thought I had found out about the pregnancy, then slept with someone. I hadn't. It was the day before I knew anything."
He continued: "Only a handful of my closest friends knew [about the ectopic pregnancy]. At the end of the day, I was going to be a dad. We were going to be parents, then this happened. It's bloody awful. I am devastated for the both of us.
"Rightly or wrongly, for me some things need to remain private. That may sound weird for someone who's had sex on TV, but that's the way it is.
"After five years of knowing Charlotte, I am devastated it's all ended like this. She's right, there's no coming back from it. I wish her all the best and hope she finds someone in the next chapter of her life. I'm sorry it ended the way it did."
