If you've been wondering what Regina George has been up to since the days of terrorising Cady Heron, Gretchen Wieners and Karen Smith in Mean Girls, we think we might just have the answer.
As it turns out, she isn't doing car commercials in Japan and hasn't even been off writing her debut autobiography (titled Burn Book, obv).
Nope, Regina George is actually now an athlete who just so happens to have qualified for the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
Granted she might not actually be the one from the film, but it turns out that Regina George is a real person and is an up and coming star athlete. While she is from Chicago - just like her movie counterpart - she will be running for Nigeria in the 400 metres at the Olympics, which is her home country.
Chatting to Seventeen about what it's like to be the real life Regina, she says she didn't realise how big of a deal it was until recently.
"I actually was in the movie theater when I first saw the Mean Girls movie and I was like, 'WHAT?' Like, oh my gosh," she tells the mag. "It sucks that she has to be the mean girl, because I'm not a mean person, but it gave me a lot of popularity when I was running track in London. Everyone was like, 'Oh my gosh, you're Regina George.'
"I didn't even know it was such a big movie. But people were retweeting me, sending me pictures, making memes of me when I was on the track."
Naturally she has a favourite MG quote and says: "I love 'you can't sit with us,' because someone once made a meme of me saying, 'You can't split with us.'"
And if you're wondering if the two Reginas have any similar traits, there is one thing they share: "Being fabulous — we have that in common."
YAAS, Regina. So, will you be rooting for Regina George this summer? Let us know with a tweet already.
