Cheryl might've quit the judging panel for this year's X Factor, but that doesn't mean she won't be making an appearance as it's rumoured she might be set to join Simon Cowell for a brief cameo at Judges' Houses.
She might not be the only show veteran returning either as there's a few sneaky rumours that she might be bringing boyfriend Liam Payne along with her.
As if the idea of some slow-mo shots of Chez and Payno's pretty faces smiling at each other as they run down the beach to the poetic sound of the voice over man making a crack about their love wasn't quite enough to get you to tune in, it gets even more glorious.
Yep, apparently Uncle Si is keen to have both of them by his side to help weed out the next batch of potential popstars and they are supposedly in talks to be co-judges for that portion of the show.
"Both Cowell and ITV bosses are in agreement Cheryl would be the perfect person to help him pick his finalists," an insider tells the Daily Star. "Everyone knows how well Cheryl and Simon work together on and off screen.
"Cheryl also has a proven track history mentoring the girls as a judge, she's still incredibly popular with fans and it would keep her within the X Factor family despite her quitting," they add. "Not only that but Simon wants to win this year and he really respects Cheryl's opinion when it comes to finding a star.
So where does Liam come in? The insider has a slightly brash way of putting it, but frankly WHO CARES if we get more 1D on our screens.
"Simon also has a lot of respect for Liam, who many saw as the business brain behind One Direction," the insider says.
"While signing both Cheryl and Liam together would obviously be a ratings stunt – it doesn't take away from the fact that they are both hugely qualified to help."
