It's good news over in camp Dylan O'Brien today after it was confirmed he was returning to Teen Wolf despite his horrific injury on the set of The Maze Runner: The Death Curse. HOORAY AND HURRAH.
Back in March 2016, Dylan was involved in an accident after he fell off and dragged under a moving vehicle due to the safety harness he was strapped to.
At the time, a report about the injury was posted on iNFOnews.ca and read: "An action sequence was being filmed for a motion picture. This young worker was attached to a vehicle by a harness, lanyard and overhead truss system when he climbed onto the back of another vehicle," the report reads.
"As the vehicles slowed, the trailing vehicle the worker was anchored to slowed more rapidly than the vehicle the worker climbed onto."
Filming for The Maze Runner was halted, fans flooded to Twitter to show their support and well wishes, and it was unclear whether he'd return to filming the big blockbuster or Teen Wolf, for that matter.
But minds have been put at ease today after a showrunner Jeff Davis revealed to Entertainment Weekly that Dylan was indeed returning, and that it was a big series for his character Stiles.
He commented: "Stiles is a big part of the season because a lot of this season's mystery revolves around him. We're going to see just what Stiles' friendship means to Scott, Lydia, and Malia. We're going to see why exactly he's Scott's best friend, what it means that he's Malia's human anchor, and what his will-they-or-won't-they relationship is with Lydia."
Can we get a YAAAAAAS.
Back in May, though, his publicist said he was still taking a break from filming for The Maze Runner as "his injuries are very serious, and he needs more time to recover", but still - sounds positive, oui?
