Even though everyone has lost the plot over Pokémon GO, there's no denying that a Harry Potter themed app would set the world alight. Metaphorically, obviously.
Although a bunch of rumours were swirling that Niantic had acquired the rights to the wizarding game, it looks like the game might still be a long way off in terms of actually becoming reality.
But, just incase there are any big cheeses scouring Sugarscape for App ideas, here are a bunch of things we'd love to see on the possible launch of Harry Potter GO.
1. Schools of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Much in the same way the Pokémon GO app has Pokémon Gyms, the Harry Potter equivalent could be called schools, and would similarly be located in easily accessible areas.
2. A Sorting Ceremony - like choosing a Team Allegiance.
While you have to wait until Level 5 in Pokémon GO to choose Team Valour, Mystic, or Instinct, the Harry Potter App could combine choice with a sorting personality quiz. You know, like the one on Pottermore.
3. Horcrux hunting.
The purpose of the app could be to hunt down a bunch of remaining horcruxes - with GPS leading you (and other users) to locations where the horcrux is waiting.
Although you're probably not going to carry an actual wand around with you, it'd be a fab idea to duel using your mobile phone, casting spells either by speaking into the voice recorder or selecting the spell of your choice.
5. An Interactive Triwizard Tournament.
Something that could be held monthly is a virtual equivalent of the Triwizard tournament. Whether that means heading over to an actual purpose-built maze to engage in a series of challenges, or just wandering around the mapped-up neighbourhood is up for debate.
6. Loads of riddles.
Like getting past the Sphinx in The Goblet of Fire, adding a series of riddles would definitely spice up the challenge of hunting for horcruxes and making it to the higher levels.
7. Ingredient hunting.
Searching for Polyjoice Potion ingredients and brewing up a virtual cauldron of it could make you invisible to all other competitors; giving you the edge when it comes to duels and horcux hunting.
8. A Marauders Map aesthetic.
Imagine if you could see the location and user names of (willing) App players - like the way the Marauders Map is constructed. It'd then be more of a challenge to see who'd get to the horcrux first. TENSE.
Someone design this App, please.
