Even though J.K Rowling has recently announced that she's 'done' with Harry Potter's story, it should come as a great comfort to fans of the wizarding world that we still have a bunch of exciting stuff to look forward to.
Not only is the release of Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them arriving this November, but it's also recently been confirmed that we'll be getting a sequel to the film too. Yep, magic is real.
David Yates, the director on a bunch of Harry Potter films, including Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, confirmed the sequel at San Diego Comic Con: "There is a mention of some characters that we know and love from previous movies, but we only talk about them fleetingly. In the next movie, part two, we'll get to meet one of them in a significant way. He's much younger than he used to be, but he'll be coming back."
He also told EW about their plans for the next film in Newt Scamander's tale, saying: "We've seen the script for Part 2, for the second movie, which takes the story in a whole new direction – as you should, you don't want to repeat yourself.
Oh, and a short synopsis for the second film has already been released, which reads: "The second Fantastic Beasts movie moves deeper into an increasingly dark time for the wizarding world, where Newt and our other heroes have to decide on their allegiances."
Merlin's beard, we can't wait.
