It's no secret that America is a pretty huge place, which might be why travelling around it seems so daunting; but if you've got your organisational hat on and actually plan a proper route to take you where you wanna go, it's a doddle.

Why? Because everyone speaks the same language, Americans are super-duper helpful and incredibly friendly, and also because you're not treading a path that hasn't been trodden before - unless of course you want to.

With that said, the people over at TrekAmerica can be trés helpful in your travel plans: not only because they organise a route, transport *and* accommodation for you, but because they'll even be with you for the ride. Fancy seeing what they've got to offer?

1. The East Coast

The East Coast of America is SO varied it's crazy - so even if you only have a two week trek, it'll feel like a lot longer. Hit up the National Parks such as the Appalachian or Smokey mountains if you're feeling outdoorsy, or head to Boston, New York, Washington DC and so many other cool cities if you want a taste of East American culture.

2. The West Coast

Or, if it's the bright lights of Las Vegas and the promises of Los Angeles that take your fancy, the West Coast is probably way more up your street highway. Check out San Francisco, San Diego, Big Sur and SO. MANY. COOL. places that you hear about in the movies - only your pals will be hearing about them from your stories instead.

3. The centre of the United States of America

Not to be confused with Central America(!), if you fancy hitting up the very middle of the United States, you probably want to consider going through Colorado for the awesome rapids, Minnesota, actual Mount Rushmore and and Chicago. (Side note: we legit could not recommend going to Chicago enough.)

4.  The North

Because who says you can't take a trip via Canada and dip into Vancouver on your American trip? Hit up Niagara Falls, Chicago, Minnesota, Mount Rushmore and so many more iconic locations on your Northern trail, as well as more National Parks than you could shake your cat at. (Side note: why do we use that expression? NO ONE SHAKES THEIR CAT.)

5. The South Coast

Head from Miami to LA and literally see everywhere on the South coast inbetween, including; Austin, New Orleans, Panama, Las Vegas etc etc etc. Not convinced yet? How about the promise of Disneyland in Orlando, Florida, eh? EH? Bet we've got you there.

6. ALL OF THE ABOVE

OK OK so we've basically just tantalised your American tastebuds and now you want to do everything, right? Thought so, which might be where you turn to TrekAmerica, who promise a trip to all 48 states in 80 days. WE KNOW. It's called the Great 48 for a reason, and the chances are if you can name a place in the US? You'll visit it.

Sound up your street? Check out TrekAmerica.co.uk's tours between 3 and 80 days around USA, Canada, Alaska and Central America for 18-38 year-olds. You won't regret it (promise).
