If you didn't get tickets to see the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play in the West End, you can stop crying a river of butterbeer and comfort eating Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans (actually keep doing that), because rumour has it an actual film version is in the works.
As in, ANOTHER HARRY POTTER FILM. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.
According to The New York Daily News, Warner Bros are apparently interested in bringing a film version to the screen 'as soon as 2020' with Daniel Radcliffe back as the bespectacled wizard.
Of course, news of a new Harry Potter film AND Daniel Radcliffe reprising the role of Harry Potter sent Twitter into an absolute frenzy, with users worldwide basically having a bit of a meltdown at their computer.
One wrote: "OH MY GOD PLEASE BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL CAST", another commenting: "YESSSSS MY DREAMS ARE COMING TRUE " and a third adding: "I would love to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on the big screen."
There is a sliiiiight setback for a lot of the Harry Potter fans getting overexcited, though, and it comes in the shape of, er, Warner Bros. releasing a statement explaining they have no plans for a movie just yet.
Yeah, we said it was slight. Ahem.
They commented: "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a stage play, with no plans for there to be a film."
