He might've cancelled that Dubai gig over 'extreme anxiety' (hope you're feeling better soon, mate); but Zayn Malik's still a very busy boy indeed. Not only is he still chucking out tracks with the likes of M.I.A. and Snakehips, but now it's confirmed he's working on a new TV show all about life in a boy band.
Got quite a lot of experience in that field, hasn't he?
El Maliko's only gone and teamed up with Law & Order's Dick Wolf and his wife Noelle to create a brand new drama series for NBC; but Simon Cowell is NAHT happy about it.
Chatting about the show, which will be written by Sherri Cooper Landsman and Jennifer Lavin, Noelle said: "We were intrigued by the synergistic potential that Zayn brings to the project," with Zayn saying: "Dick Wolf is a legend and the opportunity to work with him and NBC to create a compelling drama series is awesome."
All pretty bloody exciting, no? Well, um, not if you're Simon Cowell. Zayn's former manager ain't too happy about the idea, telling ET: "Nothing surprises me anymore. I think he should have come to me with it, if I'm being honest with you.
"I do actually believe that when they've got these ideas, bearing in mind where we started, they should actually come to me."
Well there you go.
