We know actors have professional differences from time to time, but we never thought we'd hear that things on the set of The Hunger Games had got so competitive that Jennifer Lawrence actually kicked Josh Hutcherson in the head.
We were lucky enough to go along to Jennifer's London Press Conference to hear what she had to say about training to play Katniss Everdeen in the action-packed futurist thriller.
“It was lots of running because Katniss never walks anywhere. Free running track, hand on hand combat, climbing, archery and yoga too.”
Her character Katniss might be a natural when it comes to the great outdoors, but it sounds like Jennifer didn't exactly hear the call of the wild, finding all the training a bit tricky to start with.
“I’m not very athletic and kind of move like an idiot because I’m really uncoordinated, but I love sports so it was kind of a confusing transition because I was there and passionate, willing to do it over and over again, but not very well, ” Jennifer explained.
Despite finding it quite hard work, Jen's pretty confindent that she's more of a bad ass than co-stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth. She's not afraid to get a bit physical to prove it either.
“No there was no competition, I can shoot a bow and arrow! Josh is faster than me, but I can hit a bullseye. Plus I kicked him in the temple one time and gave him a concussion!"
"By accident, but I still did it! It’s like yeah, I can do that,“ she added.
She might be able to kick Josh and Liam's butts on screen, but what we really wanted to know is which of the male characters she most prefers; baker boy and fellow Hunger Games competitor Peeta, or her rugged and manly District 12 pal Gale?
“I get asked that all the time! I went back and forth, just like everybody else. I have to do press with both of them, so it’s lose-lose for me to answer that question,” she joked.
We sympathise with her quandry as we're still having difficulty deciding ourselves. Who do you fancy most, Liam as Gale or Josh as Peeta?
