With filming of The Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire, due to kick off later on this year, it's now been confirmed that Philip Seymour Hoffman has been cast as Head Gamemaker, Plutarch Heavensbee.

One of the first additions to be made to the cast since preparations for the second adaptation from the trilogy began, Philip will be taking on the character of Plutarch Heavensbee, who steps into the shoes of Seneca Crane as Head Gamemaker at the beginning of Catching Fire.

We don't want to give anything away, but he's a pretty central character so we're looking forward to seeing him up on screen with Jennifer Lawrence and particularly Josh Hutcherson.

Despite this, there's still no official word on who will be taking on the roles of fellow Hunger Games winners Johanna Mason and Finnick Odair although it has been confirmed that Francis Lawrence will be directing the movie after Gary Ross decided not to return for the sequel.

We have to say that we are most excited to find out who should play Finnick as he is supposed to be pretty dreamy. Plus he has a trident.

Who do you think should play him? Comments below please!
