Simon Cowell announces X Factor winner's single to be in aid of charity

There's been some changes at X Factor headquarters this year and after deciding not to release a charity single sung by all the finalists, Simon Cowell has officially announced that funds raised from the winner's single will instead be donated to children's charity Together For Short Lives.

It's a bit of a change from what we're used to, but it's already been rumoured that the Uncle Simon and his team were considering changing things around after Little Mix's winner single, Cannonball, was beaten to Christmas Number One by the Military Wives Choir last year.

Although we're still to find out who it'll be singing the track, they should raise a ton of cash for the charity.

"Together for Short Lives is such an inspiring and important charity for so many kids and their families who really need help and support," Simon said.

"These hospices are really happy and positive places and are a complete lifeline for so many families.

"Having worked with this charity for many years I have been able to see first hand how they have impacted so many lives, and I'm delighted that The X Factor's winner single sales will go directly to helping them."

Whichever two artists make it through to the live final will perform the winner's single live on telly as part of their final performances. The eventual winners version will then be released for download on December 9th.

Who do you think it will be singing it?
