The Hunger Games Catching Fire hasn't even had a proper trailer yet (we've only been treated to a teaser of the teaser so far, ugh) but reports are suggesting that filming for the third installment could be set to start in just a few months time. WE CAN'T HANDLE THE EXCITEMENT.
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay is the third novel in Suzanne Collins' trilogy, and will be split into two films 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' style with the release dates set for November 2014 and November 2015 respectively.
Taking into account the fact that November 2014 is still over a year and a half away, we assumed we'd have plenty of times to gear ourselves up for the Mockinjay excitment - after all, we're still reeling from those photos of Sam Claflin playing Finnick Odair in a skin tight wet suit for Catching Fire.
However, Production Weekly has gone and sent us into a Hunger Games based frenzy by reporting that the third film will actually begin production in September in Atlanta and Boston.
Both Mockingjay films will be directed by Catching Fire director Francis Lawrence – and the big three (Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth) will all return for the epic conclusion. Thankfully, Liam's character Gale has a much bigger role in the third book too - so we're looking forward to shedloads of hunky on set pics.
