X Factor is always a MEGA emosh rollercoaster thanks to Nicole Scherzinger confusing us with her made up words, Louis Walsh making us angry with his weird comments, and Dermot O’Leary’s trouser bulge melting our brain.

But last night was even moreintense than usual as we saw the semi-finals turn the strong contender Nicholas McDonald into a bit of a soggy faced sobber during his performance of Beyonce’s Halo. We're not ashamed to admit we were dabbing our eyes at one point. WAIL.

Nicholas McDonald

Nicholas had a bit of a wobbly warble during his first performance of the night, as he attempted to belt out a slightly less sassy version of Beyonce’s iconic song. Nicky let his emotions get the better of him, and his voice could be heard cracking like a boiled egg during the big note.

After wiping away his tears, he spilled to the Xtra Factor the reasons for his emotional performance: “I just think it was because I never ever thought I’d get this far in the show, and I just looked up... I saw my mum and dad crying.”

“I wasn’t nervous. It was just, I get lost in the moment. When I walked off, I thought, ‘I think now I’m going home because of that performance.’”

NO NICKY STOP, your sad little Scottish 17 year old voice is too much for us to handle right now.

Nicholas McDonald

Nicholas De La Macca managed to pull it back with his second performance of Elton John’s Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me, but with such strong competition from Luke Friend, Sam Bailey and Rough Copy, we wouldn’t like to bet our biscuits on who’ll be booted out at the final hurdle tonight.

What do you reckon? Did Nicky Blue Eyes blow it last night with his blubbing, or will he make it to the final? Let us know in the comments ahead of tonight’s results show, s’il vous plait.
