Yesterday, Zayn Malik managed to give the internet a minor heart attack when a mega attractive Billboard magazine photoshoot, and an eye-poppingly honest interview to match seemed to appear from THIN AIR.
After approximately 0.4 seconds, #ZaynOnBillboard was trending number one worldwide with both One Direction fans and Zayn stans speaking out on some of the controversial comments that he'd made during the chat.
And errr, it's fair to say that it was basically the fandom equivalent of World War III.
Thanks to Zayn opening up properly for the first time about his reasons for leaving the band, as well as the SHOCK confession that he hadn't actually heard Made In The AM yet, One Direction fans were left less than impressed.
But on the flip side, his honesty about finally being happy with his career, and the news that his phonecalls have supposedly been ignored by the other boys, meant that Team Zayn were proudly loving life in Z016.
ANYWAY, if you haven't decided where you stand on all of this yet, here's some of the best reactions we found from fans on Twitter to help you choose your alliance wisely.
A lot of fans were proud that he'd actually been honest about things.
Really proud, actually.
And mostly people were just excited about the incoming solo slay.
Can't hear your hate over the sound of is inevitably massively successful solo album.
It was an emotional experience for Zayn stans who felt like he was finally being real.
The interview made it seem like Zeehhhnn was finally happy, which has gotta be a good thing.
Someone pass the boy a megaphone.
But honestly, people were mostly just here for the photoshoot.
Even if the classic fetus/Z016 comparisons did get us feeling all the feels.
TEAM A BIT ANNOYED WITH ZAYN
But not everyone was quite so happy about his controversial comments.
Like honestly, who doesn't like 'Perfect'? Everyone likes 'Perfect'.
There seemed to be more shade being chucked around than your average beach parasol.
And loads of people were annoyed by him saying that certain things weren't 'cool'.
IT'S JUST SO CONFUSING.
Lalalalala not listening.
And for some, it only made sense to stan with One Direction instead.
TEAM SOMETHING ELSE
But in general, everyone seemed to be supporting both Zayn and the 1D boys.
Let's not blow all this out of proportion, yeah?
Because the article still contained a couple of magical quotes like this.
And after five years, we should probably be able to handle a bit of drama by now.
At least we can all connect spiritually with this one.
But even more so with this one.
The end. CHRIST, and there we were thinking that this whole hiatus thing would mean a break from the dramatic Twitter explosions. How naive we were.
