Zayn Malik might have left One Direction on that fateful day to be a "normal 22-year-old", but considering less than a year later he's just slayed the entire world with his debut solo single 'PILLOWTALK', it's pretty clear that didn't happen.
And whilst we sit here wondering whether the milk in the fridge has gone off and whether we've got another bin bag under the sink, Zayn's been chinwagging with Capital FM about how he actually got well "bored" of the normal life and needed to get on with making his own music.
It's alright for some, innit?
As well as telling them about how "cute as f***" he thought Louis Tomlinson's newborn son is (he has a point, tbf), Zayn told them he didn't really think about what being 'normal' meant, or have much of a plan straight away after he left the band.
"[Being normal] worked out for about two weeks and I got bored of it", he explained. "I don't think I could ever go back to being completely normal. I guess that's something I accepted, that this is as normal as it gets for me.
"I didn't really think through the process. I didn't really have a plan. I just did it. It's worked out alright, I'm doing ok."
"Doing OK?" MATE, are you inZAYN? Your debut single is #1 in over 40 countries rn, we're pretty sure you're doing more than OK.
Thoughts? What do you lot make of this, then? Let's discuss over on our twitter or in the comment box below, y'all.
