Even before the papers had learned how to tell the difference between Harry Styles and Liam Payne on the X Factor, One Direction have faced CONSTANT rubbish rumours of feuds and friction in the band.
Things only got worse when 1D announced their hiatus (which was obviously, totally, deffo caused by arguments between the boys - *eyeroll*), but everyone's lord and saviour Ben Winston is here to confirm once and for all that it's all a load of rubbish.
In fact, if you ask Winno, the boys have been like "brothers since day one", so excuse us while we go and weep.
In an interview with MTV about working on One Direction's latest music video 'History', Ben revealed that there's absolutely none of that tension behind the scenes that the tabloids just luuurve going on about so much.
"I would say, from day one, they're brothers," Ben spilled. "That's what they are. And they've been that way since day one.
"I've just never seen them be anything but brothers. They have each other's backs and that's what they do. I mean, I don't think you can accomplish what they've accomplished without understanding the common goal and then going to make it happen."
So if you weren't already crying from the news about the alternative ending for 'History', you will be now. Sob hiccup blub sniffle, anyone got a sleeve we can wipe on?
Hooray for the One Direction brothership; the only ship we can all agree on that ever needs to be sailing.
