With Zayn Malik having left One Direction 330 days ago, you'd think that our emotions would be mostly in check by now. But nope, every now and then something fetus hits us round the face and we start reminiscing about 5/5 again.
Looking at you, emotionally wounding 'History' vid.
The feels have once again started brewing after the release of Tiger Beat's latest issue, which features a tribute to One Direction's success over the last five years with a pic of the whole gang, including Zayn.
So far so normal, right? ER, WRONG. The image of Zayn is deliberately faded to indicate he didn't make it to the end of the tour, with the Editor-in-Chief Leesa Coble telling Mashable: "We call him Ghost Zayn."
She explained: "Look, it's a tribute to 1D, the band that dominated the pop world for four years, not just the remaining members. But it still gives a nod to the fact that he didn't hang on until the bitter end."
Er, what end, though?
Adding that a bunch of fans were behind the suggestion to include him in some sort of capacity, Leesa continued: "We connected with diehard fans and 1D fan clubs before we committed to running the shot with or without him, and Ghost Zayn won. It was pretty simple."
So, what do you lot make of the image? Creepy or cute? Let us know with a tweet @sugarscape or drop us a comment in the box below.
