Louis Tomlinson off of One Direction's a charitable little critter, isn't he? Whether he's hosting a big ol' Believe in Magic ball or taking part in a footie match to raise some cash; he's never one to brag about his generosity but is often on hand to help the causes that mean the most to him.
Well now he's only gone and donated a 'sizeable' amount of cash to British backpackers Rhys Sykes and Sarah Liddle from Doncaster; who found themselves stranded in Vietnam following a traumatic motorbike crash on Valentine's Day.
Rhys and Sarah issued a crowdfunding appeal when they found themselves stranded 6000 miles away from home; desperate to return to the UK for urgent medical treatment for Sarah's badly broken leg. And according to their family Luigi offered a massive donation to cover the cost of their flights home like the absolute angel he is.
Chatting to the Doncaster Free Press, Sarah's auntie Julie Liddle said: "Louis heard about our appeal to get Rhys and Sarah home and his mum got in touch saying how upset he was to hear about what had happened and how he would like to help. He gave a very sizeable donation to the fund and we would like to say a very big thank you to Louis and his family for being so kind."
The couple were originally told a special evacuation flight would cost £15,000; but it turns out their appeal total of more than £4500 actually covered the cost of the normal charter flights they managed to get.
What d'ya make of that, eh? Bloody adorable, isn't he? Give us a tweet over @sugarscape or drop a comment in the box below, please and a-thank you. TA VERY MUCH.
