As well as discussing One Direction and looking absolutely glorious on the cover, Zayn Malik opened up to Complex magazine about how debut solo album Mind of Mine is '60 per cent inspired by love, and 40 per cent inspired by heartbreak'.
Seeing as speculation has been rife (RIFE WE TELL YOU) from Day 1 about whether el Maliko's ex-girlfriend and Little Mix mega babe Perrie Edwards was the inspiration behind the album, Zayn took the opportunity to clear things up a little.
Following *that* super cute tweet about Gigi Hadid's face being his muse 'n' all, Complex asked how many songs are about love and how many are about pain and heartbreak.
He responded: ""There's a good ratio of both. There's a lot of falling in love and a lot of falling out of love. It's probably 60/40, falling out of love.
"I feel like you get creative with things when you can be honest. Whether that's positive or negative, it can work both ways.
"If you're in a really good place, you can write a really good, upbeat song. When you're in a s**t place you can write a downbeat fucking ballad! That's just the way it is. But I feel like you can draw good creative things from both."
Speaking about his desire to keep his relationship with Gigi Hadid out of the spotlight and as normal as possible, Zayn added: ""I try to keep the two very separate. I try to, as much as I can. But there's only so much you can do.
"I'm learning to deal with it. It's just one of those things now, in the background. I just leave it as a bit of a noise in the background."
Hm, we're not sure her starring in your 'PILLOWTALK' music video counts as 'keeping it separate', but we ship it one hundy percent just the same.
How about you guys? Whaddaya reckon? Tweets at the usual place, yo.
