Following Dylan O'Brien's horrific accident on the set of The Maze Runner: The Death Cure, his co star Giancarlo Esposito has released an update on his recovery - commenting that he's 'healing well', but that initially some of the cast members 'thought that was it'.
In case you missed all this, the Teen Wolf star suffered 'severe injuries' after being hit by a car on the set of filming the new film earlier this year.
20th Century Fox released a statement at the time, confirming: "Dylan O'Brien was injured yesterday while filming 'Maze Runner: The Death Cure in Vancouver, Canada. He was immediately transferred to a local hospital for observation and treatment.
"Production on the film will be shut down while he recovers. Our thoughts go out to Dylan for a full and speedy recovery."
Giancarlo Esposito has now updated fans on Dylan's condition, telling E! News: "He got put together a couple of weeks ago.. He's one tough cookie. He got his bell rung. I would imagine many who witnessed thought that was it.
"But he's a survivor. The one good thing about Dylan that I think is going to help him get back on schedule with us very soon is he has a great attitude."
He added that Dylan was "healing very well", and that shortly after the accident - which left Dylan temporarily unconscious after he hit his head on a pavement - he sent him a text joking that if he wanted a break fom filming, he could have just asked instead of almost killing himself.
"He opens it up and he goes, "Oh, my God, I almost broke my face laughing", Giancarlo added.
We're wishing Dylan a speedy and healthy recovery, and here's to hoping The Maze Runner can continue filming on May 15th as planned.
