Just days after Louis Tomlinson received threats against his baby son from a One Direction fan who gained access to his personal phone number, Niall Horan has taken to Twitter to reveal that he's also been subjected to abuse following a huge breach of privacy.
Niall explained to his followers last night that he's been receiving hateful and upsetting messages for WEEKS from so-called 1D 'fans' (um, these guys aren't fans), who've been saying "the worst things ever" about him and his family.
Who in this world could ever be horrible to Niall Horan? It's like punching a fluffy little chick in the face.
Admitting that he's been keeping a pretty serious incident to himself, Niall opened up to his followers last night about the horrendous messages that he's been receiving, in the hope that it might raise awareness of the fact that it's happening to multiple famous faces.
Explaining the horrid situation, Niall wrote: "For the last two weeks I've been receiving messages off a group of fans, they have drowned my phone in messages, keeping me awake at night [sic].
"But the worst part is they have been nothing but abusive," Niall continued, before admitting that it's the comments directed at his loved ones - even his young nephew Theo - which have upset him the most.
"Saying things you wouldn't even believe about me and my family and saying the worst things ever about my little nephew. Thank god I'm not the kind of person who thinks into stuff like this. But I just think it's crazy how we let people away with things like this."
Illustrating the extent of the endless awful messages, Niall added: "The sad thing is, as I tweet this they are in the group chat laughing at me," before reassuring fans that, despite facing serious privacy issues, he's taking it all in his stride like a total pro.
"Don't worry about me," Niall wrote. "I'm the most carefree, laid back person around. But I'm just signalling it, because this shite is happening to others."
