You might already own 1D lunchboxes, 1D duct tape and 1D prayer candles, but do you reeeally love anything and everything to do with One Direction? Literally ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING? Oh good, then you'll love this very tenuous link to 1D from a bloke off of Dragon's Den, then.
Entrepreneur Conor Wilson has been telling the magical tale of how he was nearly in One Direction (sort of), after he threw away his popstar dreams in order to pursue his business goals (kinda) following a stint on the X Factor (ish).
Conor's gonna be on this Sunday's episode of Dragons' Den, FYI, when he'll be pitching his big business idea for an app called Sprooce, which handles a laundry collection and delivery service. Handy.
Wheeling and dealing to the Dragons was no biggie for Conor though, as he's already faced the wrath of the scariest beast of all, Simon Cowell.
Speaking about how he'd once already come close to fame and fortune, Conor told the Irish Mirror: "Afterwards I moved to Australia where I worked in the mining industry because I heard there was a lot of money to be made there, and then suddenly One Direction seemed to be everywhere.
"There was probably a one in two and a half chance of being in that band - there was only 100 people at the bootcamp and half of them were men. Then a lot were too old and didn't suit the boyband style.
He added: "If they had gone for someone just a few years older it could have been me."
Gutted, babes. Good luck with the laundry though, we imagine it will be equally as lucrative so don't worry too much.
This is what the hiatus has left us, you guys. We'll take what we can get.
Reckon Conor would have been a good match for One Direction? Thoughts and feels? Let us know what you think about all of this with a tweet to @Sugarscape, oooh and don't forget to add us on Facebook too after you've checked out the bonus vid below.
