Now the boys have confirmed that they have indeed spent the last few days in Ghana, calling the trip 'inspiring' and an 'eye-opener'.

"Having the most amazing few days of my life !" wrote Liam yesterday - and you know the Paynis is being serious when he doesn't add a single extraaaa letter to any of his words.

"Today was the most amazing day I've had so far.. In my life ever," agreed Harry, before adding today: "@rednoseday Thank you so much for having us. It was amazing and we'll see you soon .xx"

1D are said to have visited some of the people helped by Comic Relief funds, as well as filming segments to accompany the video for their official Red Nose Day single - a cover of Blondie's One Way or Another.

The boys will be seen meeting poverty stricken families in a segment due to air as part of the Red Nose Day broadcast on March 15.

Niall certainly seems to have been affected by what he's seen over the past few days - he sent a PLETHORA of tweets earlier this morning regarding 1D's trip.

"Just arrived back from Accra,Ghana! Best life experience ever! This @rednoseday please get involved!!" he wrote.

"Watch comic relief this @rednoseday, you are in for a shock and eye opener ! and fun too"
