Justin Bieber has paid tribute to Christina Grimmie at the Winnipeg show of his Purpose Tour, dedicating a song to her memory after she was shot while signing autographs for her fans.
The story of Christina's death has shocked everyone in the music industry and beyond, with Selena Gomez, a good friend of Christina's, cancelling a meet and greet after the news initially broke about her death.
Justin, who is said to have grown close to Christina after she supported Selena on tour, took the opportunity during his show to pay an emotional tribute to her - at one point lying on his back and addressing her directly with the comment: "Christina can you hear me?"
This all follows the news that Christina's old mentor on The Voice, Adam Levine, has offered to cover the cost of her funeral.
He paid tribute to her memory on Twitter: "Behati and I are absolutely devastated and heartbroken by Christina Grimmie's death. Our hearts go out to her family. Christina was a natural, gifted talent that comes along so rarely. She was taken from us too soon."
