Great news for anyone who absolutely hates phoning the doctor to ask a simple health question; a company called HealthTap have teamed up with Facebook Messenger to connect users to a trained MD through the messaging service.
The service is free and pretty easy to use; all you have to do is go into your Messenger app and send a message to HealthTap. If they've already answered your query you'll receive an instant message from their online database.
If you require further help they'll connect to you on the 100,000 physicians in HealthTap's network - with the typical waiting time for your answer taking between several minutes and 24 hours.
HealthTap CEO Ron Gutman said in a statement: "We're excited to be the first healthcare company to deliver fast, high-quality information from compassionate doctors directly to people all over the world through the Messenger Platform. The new Messenger Platform enables us to extend the ability of our dedicated and generous doctors to help people everywhere feel good."
Oh, and the Q&A service is completely private and anonymous to ensure you feel as comfortable as possible asking any health-related questions you might have.
