Snapchat might seem like a whole lotta fun, but if anything is going to give you a reality check about how you use it, it's going to be the mess that American model Dani Mathers has got herself into this week.
It all started when she posted a snap from the gym that showed a woman in the changing room. The woman was naked and Dani accompanied the post with a frankly horrendous and stupid af bodyshaming caption: "If I can't unsee this, you can't either."
Now she has found herself being investigated by police and could face criminal action.
After taking the photo of her fellow gym goer and posting it on Snapchat, the post went viral online, luckily with people essentially going off at Dani for her totally horrendous behaviour.
Let's be real: working out is enough of a minefield as it is without the threat of someone taking pics of you and then publicly trying to shame you for the way look.
Dani took the photo at an LA Fitness gym and despite issuing an apology, TMZ report that the chain has now revoked her membership and banned her from using any of their gyms as a result.
But it doesn't end there and as well as going against all rules of human decency, this is actually potentially illegal as it involves taking a picture of someone naked without them knowing, then sharing that image online.
The woman in the pic is yet to come forward, but if she does then Dani could face up to 6 months in jail for what we're guessing she thought at the time was a simple 'hilarious' snap.
To be honest it really sucks that the woman has to identify herself in order for the police to take further action. It also sucks that people - no matter their size - can't feel free to exercise in public without this sort of thing happening.
We're all people, can't we all just let each other live?
