When Annie Mac and Nick Grimshaw invited us to the filming of this week's episode of Sound, featuring The Kooks and Katy Perry, we thought we must be dreaming!

So Grimmy, what weird and wonderful things have you found so far on The Grimshaw Files?
Today we’re doing Madonna’s freaky arm. I found out it was called micro-trauma – she’s given her arms trauma, so we’re going to recreate my arm like Madonna’s with chicken and noodles. That’s the grossest thing we’ve found.  We’ve also had some really bad cover bands, like I love Nivana cover bands. There’s this one where they were just 8 and they were really awful.

Last week the Pussycat Dolls were on the show, did you have a crush on any of them?
No, they were all like really ropey. They were all made-up and old, and stand-offish.

Other than the lovely Annie, who would be your dream co-presenter?
There’s this guy called Danny Mac, so it would just be like Annie Mac. Oh, Lil’ Chris, I love Lil’ chris. I wanna go on his programme. It’s called Everybody Love Lil Chris. It starts T4 and he has to eat the world’s hottest curries and stuff. I saw him in the street in Soho.

If you could go on a date with a celeb, who would it be?
Missy Elliott, cause she’s got a car-shaped bed. You’d get to eat loads and get into her car bed. Or maybe Lily Allen.

What do you look for in a girl?
Annie Mac, it has to be Annie Mac! Someone who’s funny and likes eating. If they can be funny whilst eating then they’d get my vote.

What’s your fave thing to eat?
I like really good pasta with pesto and salads, sushi and pizzas.

Are you a good cook?
I’m ok – not really cooking but I can make nice pasta and nice sauce but I can’t make stuff like Duck a l’Orange. I can make nice vegetables, I can boil some up with some pesto.

What was your last dream about?
My last dream was about not being paid for a job and then I woke up this morning and had to ring my agent and check. I also dreamt about Zane Lowe the other night, that he was my dentist. I don’t know what that means…
Maybe it’s because he looks like a dentist…
Yes, but my dentist’s a woman.

What’s your fave kooks song
That one about the cars, I can’t remember the name. Um…Naïve, I like that one.

Do you have any tips for ‘Scapers who want to go into presenting?
Not be like a presenter, just do what you want. I always wanted to do radio instead of TV because I thought you had to be all presenter-like. You just have to be yourself.
