While the HSM crew were doing a whirlwind tour of London we managed to get some time to chat to one of the biggest stars, Ashley!

Lucky Sugarscape reporter, Neily, was sent to the posh Dorchester Hotel on Park Lane for some afternoon tea and a chat with Ashley.

The most exciting thing about the interview... Zac Efron held the lift so that she could get in it! He really is a true gentleman!

But before Neily nearly fell to her knees when Zac spoke to her she had a good old chin wag with the lovely Ashley about her character Sharpay, fashion, beauty and music.

Ashley as Sharpay

Sharpay loves to stir up trouble at school – do you like to play a bit of a villain rather than a good girl?
I really like playing the villain (laughs), or mean girl. It’s a challenge – I feel that it’s very easy to play a character that you’re like. Acting is supposed to be about stepping into any person’s shoes, so it’s so much more fun to play Sharpay. She’s got a lot more to give.

Do you ever have any Sharpay moments in real life?
I hope not, I really hope not!

Sharpay can be a bit of a diva, but what do you think are her good qualities?
Her good qualities are that she loves to perform, she’s driven, she knows what she wants and she goes out there and she gets it. She goes about it the wrong way sometimes, but I think she really does have a heart, deep down.
