Betty has met her fair share of celebs at Mode, but this season she will come face to face with her idol!

She Wolf Shakira is set to appear on Ugly Betty as herself and she could just be Betty's long lost Latina BFF!  Lets just hope Mark and Amanda don't get their claws into her first.

“We’re huge fans of Shakira,” said show creator Silvio Horta. “We had a very memorable moment in the third episode where Betty has a makeover that goes wrong and she struts down the street to Hips Don’t Lie. We’ve mentioned her several times over the course of the series and have always wanted to work with her. She’s an enormous Latina icon, as is Betty, and we thought it was a perfect fit.”

Shakira will be appearing in an episode called 'The Bahamas Triangle' where the Mode team hit the beach on a high profile photo shoot for the magazine.  As always, things go a little bit wrong and Shakira is on hand to help Betty save the day. 

Really, Betty has saved Daniel from going under so many time, we reckon she should be made editor of Mode, or at least given a huge pay rise!
