The couple apparently hooked up after the MTV Video Music Awards in NYC in September.

I could have never imagined them together, but actually, I think they make a really cute couple now I've seen them together! I hope they stay together because it's really sweet. :)

Katy Perry and Russell wouldn't strike me as a "made for each other" couple...Hm... And Katy doesn't seem like the kind of person who would pull a publicity stunt like that....So I'm guessing it's real!!! =D
