Handbag dogs - out. Massive cats - in.


It's been a big, fat celebrity craze for some years now - having tiny handbag dogs to cart around. (Our favourite of late being Kelly Osbourne's itsy bitsy teeny weeny black fluffy rat-on-a-rope, Sid.)

But we're over it now. Because we've spied something else that we WANT WANT WANT. A massive cat instead. Yes, friends. Bigger IS better. Check out these beauties...

We can't quite believe we've got so many years under our belts and never heard of these monsters until yesterday. They're normal domestic cats - a breed called MAINE COON - but they're just bigger. And clearly better.

Here's the boring factual bit - they're one of the oldest natural breeds in North America. The breed was popular in cat shows in the late 1800s. They are noted for their large bone structure, rectangular body shape and long, flowing coat.
