Emma Watson's been confirmed for a role in The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Emma Watson has bagged herself an acting role about as far away from Hermione Granger as Lindsay Lohan is from staying in and having a nice cup of tea and a biscuit.
You might remember us being totally ahead of the game a few months ago when we told you about all the rumours that Emma would get this part, but it has now been officially confirmed by all sorts of important people that the delightful Miss Watson is to star in The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
Gooooooooohhhaaaaaaannnn Emma! (That was meant to read like a footbally chant of 'Gooo on', and roughly translates to 'Congratulations young lady, haven't you done very well for yourself.)
Emma even confirmed the news herself on her Twitter. Where the frick else would you expect anything these days hey?
'Hi all, just wanted to tell you that for once a story in the papers is true. I'm filming Perks of Being a Wallflower this summer. Can't wait! x'
The film is an adaption of a book which tells the story of Charlie, a troubled teen who has to deal with death, sex, drugs, homosexuality, abortion and other nasty things. Emma's lined up to play Sam, his lady-friend.
The really rather dashing Logan Lerman is lined up to play Charlie, and we're looking forward to seeing him take his top off in the sex scenes. Yes, we know that's pretty pervy and shallow and if a man said that about Emma Watson he'd never be able to get away with it...but it's just the truth, ok?
Are you looking forward to seeing Emma in a role that's not Hermione?
Do you fancy Logan Lerman?
We do. Obviously. We fancy everyone. Literally. EVERYONE.
