People up in arms over Tulisa's X Factor arm
You know when the judges walk on to the X Factor stage and Tulisa Contostavlos always lifts her arm across her chest revealing her tattoo... well her signature arm move might now be banned from the X Factor. Yes, her arm movement might be banned. Seems a bit silly right?
Apparently her tattoo reads The Female Boss and so there are concerns that Tulisa is illegally promoting her perfume which goes by the same name. Sound the al-arm! (We're sorry).
According to reports, Ofcom is launching an investigation after complaints that such an obvious display of her tattoo breaks rules on the 'promotion and reference of commerical products by talent' and is a breach in broadcasting regulations.
There are also complaints for a section in the Xtra Factor where there was an explicit reference made to Tulisa's The Female Boss perfume in relation to her signature arm movemnt.
Now if Tulisa is trying some sort of sneaky subliminal messaging here that's pretty clever.
However, we're pretty sure that Tulisa's tattoo The Female Boss stands for a lot more that just her perfume. The fact that she's a strong, independent woman, a mentor, a female boss of her X Factor contestants, the girl with the don't mess with me attitude and so on. She might still be doing the arm movement whether or not she'd named her perfume after it.
What do you think? Is Tulisa doing some sneaky promo? Or is it just ridiculous they're going to stop her doing her signature move? Comments below please!
