Says it was blown out of proportion
"Basically I said something on radio which I shouldn’t have said, and it wasn’t intended to sound as bad as it did," said Cher.
"I wasn’t doing that all, I was saying I would love to perform with her and I made a little joke about only if she sang live.
"I think it all got blown out of proportion. I just want to say sorry to her if she found that offensive. But at the end of the day, she is the person who got me to where I am today.
"If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be where I was."
This comes after Cheryl Cole posted a slightly cryptic tweet when Cher's comments were made public, saying;
"Be Careful who you kick on your way up… They kick you twice as hard on your way back down.. #unappreciationisugly."
So, guess that settles that then.
