Makes us feel well guilty for only dropping a quid in that collection bucket this morning.
Can Taylor Swift get any more perfect? The singer has gone and donated a HUGE sum – 4 million dollars to be exact – to the Country Hall of Fame Museum in Nashville, Tennessee.
That's a whole lot of cash.
Apparently the donation is the largest that any artist has ever given to the museum (we’re not surprised!) and will be used to create the Taylor Swift Education Center – a space designed to "educate young people in country music."
When we heard that we imagined people locked in a room listening to Love Story on repeat, but we're sure that's not quite what they mean.
Kyle Young, Director of the museum, had some very nice things to say about generous Taylor.
“It will allow us to do what we do better, serve more people, develop new programs," he said, "and I'm happy to say that as we talked through this opportunity with Taylor, she very much wants to be involved in an advisory capacity in what we do"
“Is there a better person out there who's in touch with a young audience?" he continued. "I think not. I was joking we should be paying her to do that!”
Now, the Taylor Swift Education Center sounds like it’s going to be pretty darn awesome. For example, it will include a MUSICAL PETTING ZOO. We're imagining animals playing instruments - but again, we've probably got the wrong end of the stick.
There will also be a “’wet’ space – we’re not entirely sure what that is, so we’ll reserve comment for now - as well as three classrooms and its own exterior entrance.
What do you think, does Taylor deserve some sort of Saint award or what?
