Mariah says comparisons between her and Leona are ' whatever'!


 

Our lady Leona has been compared to Mariah so many times because of her warbly vocals but  when asked about reports dubbing Leona 'The new Mariah', the singer dismissed the comparison.

Mariah said, "They've been comparing people to me for the longer than I can remember, I'm just like, 'whatever'.

"If they're the new me can they come and do my interviews for me or get in the studio and write one of my songs?

"Seriously though, I love everybody, it's not a competition for me."

The 38-year-old stopped traffic on Oxford Street in London yesterday after arriving two hours late to promote her new album at Selfridges.

But the star's demands were once again the talk of the town after she allegedly had a £5,000 table shipped direct from New York, designer bottles of water from Fiji, a shipment of Krispy Kreme doughnuts and a £1,000 throne ordered in for the appearance.

The top two floors of the department store were closed down and barriers lined the entrance as hundreds queued to catch a glimpse of the star.

Mariah, who looked chic in her all black attire, said, "It's really cool that they would do this and it's great to see so many people show up."
