Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have finally come out as a couple - like we didn't know!!

The pair - who met on the set of their new movie Rendition - were pictured holding hands and canoodling during a romantic trip to Rome.

Reese, whose divorce from former husband Ryan Phillippe was finalised this month, had always denied a relationship with Jake. Why Reese? He's hot!

The couple have tried to keep their romance low key, but the Legally Blonde star recently said Jake is 'great'

The pair first began dating around March this year, although they were careful to avoid being photographed together, however Reese called the romance off in June, according to reports. Now it's clear their love affair is most definitely back on.

Reese has said: "I have known Jake for years through different friends and he is just wonderful.

"He's very kind, generous and funny."
