Just last week, Hayden Panettiere opened up about how her relationship with her Heroes co-star Milo Ventimiglia can be stressful. Now, she's letting people know that being on TV hasn't always helped her make friends with her schoolmates.

The 18-year-old, who has been in the spotlight since she was an infant, said she was bullied because of her acting work.

She said, "At school I was teased a lot because I was an actor. They used to be awful. I went through a big period where I was tortured at school. Absolutely ripped apart."

Looking back on the experience, though, Hayden thinks it has helped make her a stronger person.
