Wanna strut down the catwalk with the Kate Moss and co? Then follow Select model and fashion junky, Daisy Lowe’s guide to doing just that…

19 year old Daisy Lowe is one of the coolest models around - Sugar caught up with her to grill her on her tips for modelling success.

1. Take care of your skin.

“It’s your most important weapon as a model. I use Doctor Sebagh products, he is a Parisian dermatologist who sells his stuff in London. I had really bad skin and I used his breakout foaming cleanser and it just took everything away in three days.”

2. Be able to laugh at yourself.

“You’ve got to have a personality to be a model. If you don’t, you just look bland or boring in pictures. Sometimes you’re expected to look a bit stupid so you can’t take yourself too seriously either.”

3. Get a friend to take pictures of you.

“Then send them in to a modelling agency. Don’t think that you have to be be tiny, weeny, skinny. The whole fashion industry is changing. You have to be tall unfortunately for most of the big agencies but don’t let that put you off. There are amazing models like Alastair Lowell who aren’t really tall.”

4. Hang around in the right places.

“I got scouted in Camden market, Select models approached me, took me to their offices and they signed me straight away. Camden have a lot of model scouts looking for new talent and so do places like Topshop on Oxford Street. Also try festivals in the summer.”
