This week our star scapers tested pink nail varnish... here's what they had to say:


Ruju

Ruju tested the Mavala nail polish, £3.75, from leading salons nationwide in the shade Osaka

Here's what Ruju said: "I thought the colour was quite nice. It was a natural light colour, but personally I did think it was a bit light for this summers's trend.

When I put it on the colour was slightly lighter than the colour in the bottle, two coats were best really. With two coats, the colour looked just like the one in the bottle. But if you wanted a more pearly beach colour then one coat looked fine.
 
The polish took around 3 minutes to dry and it lasted without chipping for about 2 days but you can't really tell that its chipped because it's quite light and similar to the colour of my nails.
 
I'd give the Mavala nail polish 6 out of 10 because I could wear it to school/ a party/ shopping without looking to OTT!! If it was darker/ brighter I'd give it a higher score!"
