Shaving:

One of the biggest myths is that shaving encourages hair growth and that it somehow make the situation worse.

However, shaving doesn't encourage hair growth, but it does mean that you have to carry on once you start - upkeep is everything!

Shaving has its advantage though. It helps exfoliate the skin so that you are less prone to in growing hairs - just remember to moiturise every morning so that the skin is left smooth and hydrated  It's imporatant to change the blade fairly frequently too - manufacturers say this should be every six times but up to 10 is fine. Choose a razor that has multi blades so that it works hard for each stroke. Oh and a little tip: instead of shaving gel, you can use hair conditioner as a base - legs will also feel smoother! In Superdrug Venus Breeze is currently half price at £3.99.

Boots Triple Blade razor is a great option as it has three blades and a lubricating strip with Vitamin E. Use a shave gel (or hair conditioner) too.
