From Madonna's £5,000 diamond and mink lashes to Lily Allen's hot pink peepers - statement eyelashes are here to stay!

Take a closer look at celebs on the red carpet and you will find that all of them are sporting a flurry of perfect false lashes.  Some have even splurged on eye lash implants, although we think it's totally unnecessary if you're armed with some false lashes and a good mascara.

On the catwalks this season, designers have used lashes made from feathers, lace, glitter and even custom-made paper clips at Viktor & Rolf.  They're a bit theatrical for everyday wear, but there are false eye lashes to suit every eye shape and occasion.
