Ashley looks like a different person!

Ashley Tisdale is one of the few stars who have admitted that she's had a nose job, but we're not sure if we fully believe her reason for surgery: a deviated septum that made it hard for her to breathe.

Many Hollywood actresses including Cameron Diaz and Ashley Simpson have used this old chestnut as a reason behind their 'septoplasty' [the operation to straighten the septum], but what's stopping them from also correcting a bump or lump here and there while they're under the knife? It's so hard to know what's medical and what's vanity.

Last week Ashley told People magazine: "Growing up I always knew I had a deviated septum on the right side of my nose, which caused trouble breathing. The older I got, the worse it got. I went to get it checked out, and the doctor told me the septum was 80 percent deviated and that I had two small fractures on my nose."

Although this is a valid excuse, the surgery looks so drastic - why did they have to give her a ski slope nose and not follow what nature naturally intended?!

According to ABC News in the States, the surgery should not alter the exterior appearance of the nose, so when a celeb says they have had surgery to repair a deviated septum, they may well be leaving out a few details...

We do hope Ashley hasn't just followed a trend!
