We usually love Gabriella's quirky sense of style, but surely this tie dress is a step too far!

Australian songstress Gabriella wowed up at The Brit Awards with her sparkly bandeau dress and rainbow necklace, but this dress must have cost her a fortune, as she rounded up all her dad's ties to make this 'unique' creation!

Perhaps she got the round idea about this season's boyish fashion, but someone should tell her quickly that this isn't a good look, before she attacks her mum's tea towels.

But if you're brave enough to give Gabriella's tie dress a try, then here are a few suggestions.

Step 1: Pick your favourite designs from a selection of ties from Tie Rack.  You will need at least 18!

Step 2: Lay the ties out on your bed and sew them all together at the top

Step 3: Once you have all the ties together, try them on for size, then wrap another tie around your waist to keep them together.

Step 4: Adjust the tie to make the dress cinch in your waist.

Step 5: Find a fabulous party with a red carpet, so you can show off your DIY creation.

You can be guaranteed that no one will turn up wearing the same dress as you (really, no one), but with the cost of almost 20 ties, at £9.99 a pop, you're better off just buying a really amazing dress from Topshop Boutique....the choice is yours!
