Kristen Stewart got rid of her auburn locks for a choppy black mullet, but is it a major hair disaster or actually pretty cool?

Kristen seems to be taking the whole 70s rock trend a bit too far, but perhaps her new barnet could spark off a new following and prove us all wrong!

She went for the chop for her role as Joan Jett in new film The Runaways, alongside Dakota Fanning, and has been filming scenes in L.A.

But Kristen hasn't been hiding her 'do under a paper bag or cancelling her social life, as she was spotted rocking out at the NYLON SummerMusic Tour gig with Dakota.

Kristen has that cool rock chick vibe, so she's probably the only Hollywood celeb who could carry off a mullet in a film.  But we wonder what 'just good friend' Robert Pattinson thinks of Kristen's new retro do...
