The rock chick look is huge this summer, and what better way to achieve it than with a bit of tie-dye!

Jeans never go out of style and this summer jeans come in every shape and style. Whether they're skinny, boyfriend or skimpy shorts, they should look wrecked. We love the ripped look and we love the tie-dye effect. So does Ashley Tie-dye Tisdale...

We've had a hunt about and come up with a few ways to get the look. First option hunt out those white jeans that you don't wear anymore and get tie-dying! Remeber to cover surface areas with plastic, so you don't tie-dye your sofa (you'd be very un-popular) make sure you prepare everything you'll need in advance, follow the instructions and wear gloves!

Also, we suggest you only tie-dye jeans with one colour, let's not get carried away...

£6.75 from Rainbow crafts, what a great Saturday afternoon activity!

Sound like too much hard work? Why not just buy these little lovelies...

Tie-dye jeans from Next, £35

OR pick up a bargain...

Jeans from George, complete with knee rips (love them!) £16

If tie-dye is too much for you then get ripping! Make sure you only ever rip jeans you don't mind destroying, don't be too carried away and be careful. A cheese grater is a great way of getting distressed looking jeans, but don't try and distress them while you're wearing them! It's all about thin shreds, so take your time and enjoy creating your very own bespoke jeans!

So what do you think? Should tie dye only appear on T-shirts, or do you love the tie-dye jeans look? Let us know if you try it out yourself! Comments please...
