In any other situation we'd say this was a complete attention-seeking stunt, but considering Katy Perry is already making headlines for her whirlwind romance with Russell Brand, we think perhaps she might have worn this outfit because she actually likes it... and that's what frightens us most.

We know it's a bit warmer over in L.A. than it is here in good old Blighty but unless you're channelling Superman, nothing excuses wearing your pants over your tights. Especially when it's a saggy grey pair...

Some jeans or a skirt over the tights really would have done the job!
